I am training magery at the moment and as i play siege i am wanting to kill stuff to get gold, i figure drakes would be a good bet but am not sure where a decent place to hunt them would be.

Also would i handle them ok with 82 magery and 78 eval? (with jewels) i have good SDI will explo/ebolt/FS kill em easy enough or would i be best adding another +magery item and just EV them?

For now, use that magery and do the spellweaving quest. If you can find a nature's fury scroll (as I understand, that can be difficult on SP unless you have good contacts), use nature's furies in addition to explode/ebolts to kill things until your magery improves.

40 spellweaving = 100% NF.

And since spellweaving uses no resources, that's a few less things to lose when you die and can't recover your non-blessed gear.

As for where. I'm not sure.

Yeah you can handle them around that okay with those skills. You will want to use energy based spells, not fire based. Drakes are much weaker to energy based than fire based spells.

That link can also help you select appropriate training partners. In the top left corner of the Hunter's Guide click the Advance Search button. Then scroll down to Sort By. If you training Magery, sort by Magery. Use that list to locate all the creatures that are within +-10.0 of your Magery skill.

I really like Ice Fiends or Arctic Ogre Lords for my mage at lower levels.

The AOL's move slowly, don't cast, are low fire resist, and with a slayer are easily dealt with. (Not too hard even without a slayer)

As soon as you get to a point where you don't fizzle explosion spells switch to IF's. You can kill them very quickly with an explosion/fireball/fireball. You can also train magery if you try explosion/flamestrike. (A bit more risk depending how often you fizzle the flame strike) A demon slayer spellbook make these almost too easy to farm for gold or fame.
