In an effort to help squelch that fire before it is ignited, I offer the following advice as a member of this community.

Minda, please remember fair offer is relative... what one views as fair another may not. What you view as a fair price, might be too high to someone else. It is frustrating for folks to find the price you feel is fair without any help from you. I would strongly suggest you place a reserve with what you'd be happy with then see it goes higher. Having folks waste time offering bids that aren't accepted and playing a guessing game is a quick and easy way for folks to get turned off to bidding at all. I almost never will bid in auctions where it says "I reserve the right to refuse an offer if it is too low" and they have no reserves. It isn't worth my time to sit there and watch an auction, bid repeatedly, set an alarm to make sure I'm paying attention at the end of it in case someone bids last minute... to then be told it wasn't high enough. I think there are a number of others in the community who feel the same way. Take or leave the advice, but I think you will find more people who might be interested if they understand what you are aiming for. You can say the minimum I want is this. If two people want the they can push the price higher than that. You can choose to take this advice or continue on. This isn't my rules as a moderator, simply friendly advice on how to get what you view as a fair price AND keep those interested in your items from walking away. Good luck, Minda.

Potential buyers i think do understand as well what they are getting into, and what different selling styles means in regards to bids.
For example i wouldnt bother placing a bid substantially under what something would sell in luna for after a week or so on a vendor in this type of scenario, but would if it were a straight auction.
Reserves, while useful, can be tricky, partly because the majority seem to assume a reserve is a starting price, while it is actually by definition the price a seller guarantees sale of an item if it goes above the reserve. High reserves tend to scare off bidders, like there might appear to be zero interest in "Light of Love" if the reserve price were say 20bil (just an exagerated example) so no one bothered to bid 500mil, 1 bil, 1.5 bil.

I know different types of selling can be frustrating, but each has its use. Just my 2 cents.

Ok o on a group of 100 roses at 10mil per that breaks down to 100k per rose. Not knowing the name severely limits the amount anyone that is a serious rose collector would pay for those. You can find them on some Asian shards for 48k at times. So it is a more than fair blind offer, imho. HOWEVER, if it is not fair to you that is fine as well. Just if someone were offering a 170mil buyout on the lot is something I as a rose collector would consider. That being said what would your minimum price be per 100 roses?
