Let's compare healing.

Healing skill: cures in 4-5 seconds. Heals 20-45 damage in 4-5 seconds.
Magery: Cures in about 1s, heals 55 in about 2-2.5s
Chiv: Cures in .25s, heals 28-34 in 1s
Vamp form: 10-20 every 1.25s
Curse weapon: 30-70 every 1.25-1.5s

Healing, you can run and do other actions and still heal.
Magery, frezzes you for a short period -but fast
Chiv, frezzes you for a short period, but is extremely fast
Vamp, constant, but you have to hit to heal
Curse weapon, insane HP gain, but must hit to heal

And that's assuming high dex for the quicker bandage times!

After getting ressed away from your corpse, you have lost your bandages, except you carry a talisman of bandage summoning.
A mage with 100%LRC can heal immediatly again.
A paladin can heal immediatly again.

Healing depends on stamina but does not consume it, magery on mana and consumes it.

Bandages become faster when cross healing.

Healing can be interrupted.
Interuption for magery can be prevented by protection

Healing allows you to keep swinging with your weapon.
Magery stops your swings while casting even with a SC weapon.

My 2 cents

yes healing is dex based and a very handy tool if you have multiple characters xhealing but vamp is truely the best with a life leeching weapon on top of it curse weapon is nice if you have regs or arcane but will run out quick without spirit speak. I like vamp the best myself but i do also love the best one of all

Gift of renewal for the win!! lvl 5 focus and pop it on a dexer tanking well almost anything and its beautiful! its alot every 2 seconds for over a min thats massive healing and it lets the mage weaver who is healing your tank to get some dmg in also heheh.
