Lessons in boredom

So I'm watching a movie and bank-sitting tonight.
After 30 mins of no marks, I decide to add 17 mandrakes to my ever growing reagent collection.

I fail on a 2 stone grab with 110 stealing, get whacked.
I res, get my corpse, and am gray.

10 seconds later, someone goes to the bank with a 115 ninja scroll and a 110 stealth scroll. I grab the ninja scroll, perfect success, and attempt a getaway. Llama fails with 100 ninja. I get killed.

Lesson learned.. never go for crappy steals because a decent mark might show up right afterwards.

Nah I didn't give up, he banked it after taking his scroll back from my otherwise naked corpse. I would have cat-formed for healing after the res.. but I can't tell you how many times I've thought I was in llama form for a getaway and just changed into cat (Damn that gets me so mad at myself).

Just make the steal, then I become a dog.:loser:

How often do you successfully steal in town, I failed like 5 times in a row in the Cove bank on a script miner. I was pissed.

On Siege i'm assuming?

I haven't played there lately, but it depends on how many players and NPCs are around.
With your 110 Stealing you should be able to steal up to even 3 or 4 stones without getting noticed WITH npc's. Even more stones without them.

What were your circumstances in Cove?

I am on GL, this scripter was realling into the bank in the corner. I was trying to steal before he banked his ingots and gems.

Thievery is fickle like that in the GZ..

Fail stealing 1 stone with no one around,
or succeed on 3x that weight with 3 npcs watching, lol.
