- Teams running less than four people, will they face the same calibur challenge as a four man team?
- Are the pits open to all templates? ie tamers and thier pets
- Are there any item use restrictions?
- Lastly, Will the event be bracketed competition? How are things decided in the event of a tie?

You guys misunderstand. This isn't a competition. This is a throw back to when seers would spawn peoples worst fear at jhelom pit for players.
The teams are just teams to fight monsters. He'd have been more accurate stating they were parties or groups.
The team that wins the lotto may get to fight a crazy spawned monster, likely a dark father or a harrower(only if in fel)

Well said Ominus! This is excactly that, a throwback event paying hommage to the olden days of seers in the realm! Essentially all templates are welcome. The selection of monsters will be based on party numbers and should give each group a healthy challenge i.e no single warrior will face an unbeatable challenge unless they reach the lotto round, at which time all gloves are off when facing the champ.
