Leftover EM Event Mobs?

What is an Unthar Undead? It looks like a patchwork skeleton but is black. It runs faster than you on horseback, it dismounts you, & every time it hits you it gives the tainted life message even though I am not hitting it with any weapon. It chased me way longer than any paragon. I finally died after I aggroed even more paragons. I found them in the city of Mistas in Ilshenar. This is on Great Lakes.

Basically they are death to someone wandering around solo adventuring. Is this am EM event leftover?

Anyone know the best way to kill them solo or can they be soloed on melee char? They are a real pain.

I found one there later last night @ the Balron room. There are several of them in Ilshenar @ Mistas. They chased me all over that area.
