Leather Question

Where do I get different types of leather?

Barbed, Spined, Horned, etc.....

Are these items that are made via enhancing normal leather? Killing special mobs that drop special leathers?

Something else?

Most of the tiems with barbed, spined and horned leather probably were made with the help of runic sewing kits. They could be enhanced, too, but the chance on breaking an item by enhancing is high.
You can get the different leather types from fighting different monsters. The stronger the better their leather is. Unfortunately this doenst count for ML monsters. As far as I have seen those only produce plain leather. Following list is NOT complete:
Hunt ...
- spined from lizzardmen, serpents, ratmen
- horned from drakes, wyverns, sea serpents
- barbed from dragons, white wyrms, nightmares, ancient wyrms, serpentine dragons, shadow wyrms
