[Price Check] Learning the economy again. Price check a couple things.

Hello everyone. I'm slowly returning to UO after being away for a while and wow has the economy changed! I've been browsing these forums trying to figure out what is worth what to help me with farming and figured I would post a couple items I found to get an idea. So are these worth anything?


1.
Arcane Bracelet of Sorcery

Int Bonus 8
Mana Increase 4
Mana Regen 4
Spell Dam Inc 9%
Daster Cast recov 3
Lower Mana Cost 10%
Lower reg Cost 20%

If they are not worth anything, what would make them worth something? For example if one of the mods was a bigger percent or if it had a different mod in place of one it has.

Also what would a large tower in Trammel Yew be worth? Thanks for the help all.

Jewels like that are pretty common these days. Best thing to do is look on vendor search to get familiar with current prices.

What he said ^^. Also, for jewels to be worth much they MUST have 25% Enhance Pots. For example:

Dexer jewels need:
Stat bonus
25% EP
HCI
DCI
SSI
DMG Inc
(if theres a relevant dexxer skill bonus that will help as well)

Mage jewels need:
Skill bonus
Stat bonus
25% EP
DCI
FC or FCR or both
LRC or LMC

At least thats what I look for and it seems jewels like these get alot of bids for hundreds of mils.

Not always. It's more about the combination of mods and things that fit together well. Also if somebody is needing a certain jewel with xyz on it to finish up a suit they might pay through the nose for it.

Yeah not always. It will be less if its missing one of those key properties. The main thing to keep in mind is, if it doesnt have 25% EP, its most likely not worth much. It's still ok to price check though because someone may not need EP in rare occasions.

All jewels do not need enhanced potions. Saying a jewel isn't worth much without it is simply not true. That is probably only the case here on Stratics, where alot of the Trader's Hall high-bidders are PVP folks. For PVP it's crucial, but even then it's going to depend on your template. Especially in PVM, in my experiences, most people do not play with potions. If it has enough mods/skills that people are looking for, it will have value.

Regarding a price check on the first two pieces in this thread... maybe 100K each. As noted, they're common pieces and without higher SDI (15%-18%), or Faster Casting... they're a dime a dozen.

I agree. I don't have EP on my PVM jewels. They do however have 7-9 useful mods, and I have been offered a fair amount for them.

I don't look at jewels without ep However on my pvm chars i do not use ep so big money with ep but not worthless without if its good for someone with pvm =) i hope this helped, Xellos 650968665
