Learned recipes, how about a faster way to show them ?

When characters learn recipes, as of now the only way to tell whether they learned them, is to equip the crafting tool, pop up the menu, and check the various craftable items to see whether that given character has learned them or not.

Now, wouldn't it be nicer to have a "recipes menu" just for display of what recipes a given character has already learned and which not ?

This would be handy especially when thinking about deleting a character because while skills can be soulstoned before deletion recipes cannot.....

You mean an extra button on the crafting menu(s) titled "Recipes"? It would be a faster way if that menu shows the recipes of the other skills as well, rather than showing only the recipes of the skill the crafting tool is used for (there are about 93 recipes in the game for alchemy, cooking, tinkering, bowcrafting, carpentry and blacksmithy).

Not being able to sort through recipes while shopping for the ones I need is a pain - I've still not got all of them, and I'm the Craftsman forum mod!

Anything would be better than the current system, where you have to start paging through from page one, once you back out of one you clicked into to see if you have it yet, or not.

Yeah, I've done a chart too - and after spending an hour checking 20-30 recipes in ONE character's possibilities to enter them on the excel chart, I gave up in disgust.

FILLING such a chart for an established character that's read SOME recipes, even if the columns for the recipe names are already filled in for you by someone else, will take HOURS.

The only way making a chart doesn't take a day or two away from your playtime is if you are starting with a virgin crafter and are going in knowing that all the slots are empty, and you mark each as you read them.

Yea on all counts, we NEED a quicker way to see what recipes we have, this current system either borders on dumb or sadistic, not sure which at present.
................lessee, yeah, I've thought about it, it's both.

When I was collecting the recipes for my main crafter, I did the reversed way. I printed out a list of all recipes and marked all learned ones.

Since most of the recipes are obsolete now, I do another way on my new crafter. When I am working for the elves of heartwood, I try to learn every recipe that I get. If the char already learned it, the game tells me. When my upcoming t-hunter gets recipes, he drops them into a chest and my crafter tries to learn them, when he bypasses that chest. The outsorted recipes (at least the common ones) are sorted into my 'ready-for-clean-up-chest'.

I'm mostly interested in the ones I DON'T know rather than the ones I do. Since typically that's a far shorter list.
