[Fishing] lava fishing pole durability

hi all, the lava fishing pole seems to have some kind of durability. does anyone know how long it will last?

I started using mine today and it was burning up rather fast. Not sure if I should keep using it until it breaks or what. :p

burns up real fast i used one up didnt take to long... saving the rest till i use my lava fish bait in use with the pole

Where are you fishing for lava at? I have found a few places but cannot get the fishing pole or traps in the lava :/
