Large desktop resolutions issues.

Hey all, so I'm getting the itch to run around uo again, if only for a month or two. In the years since I've played I've upgraded my main monitor to a 2560×1440 resolution (I'm a digital artist) and im concerned how small the game window will be.

Has there been a development in recent years to increase the game window beyond 800x600? or was the max 1024 x 768? I can't recall. Any increase is good for me.

I know about the 3D client but when I last tried it I really disliked like it. Maybe it's better? Either way, the nostalgia of the 2d client is calling to me.

Unfortunately no, the max is still 800x600 and it looks tiny and really dated IMO. I love the 2D graphics and have been playing since 1997, but the resolution size just sucks. I remember playing fullscreen on my 14-in monitor in high school and its the same damn size as it was 15-years later! Its kinda frustrating. I just play in windowed mode with a large black area to put my macros/pack/spell icons, etc

The Enhanced Client is your best bet as the game window expands to any resolution and you have the zoom feature to make thing NOT be miniscule (although because of low resolution graphics, they will be pixelated and distorted when zoomed outside of their native resolution).

Otherwise if you're sticking with the 2d client your choices are eye-strainingly tiny graphics or throwing the monitor out of its native resolution causing everything to become blurry (and as above pixelated and distorted).
