lag is killing the game!

you know what sucks?

doing a timed puzzle in game and its been so laggy this last week that you cant do it and get it done, and not because your getting it wrong, but because you cant move fast enough to do it because the game is so damn laggy.

would be a different issue if it was just a puzzle you could do by standing still, but trying to run all over the screen and back in seconds to complete the puzzle is impossible with this lag.

no fun in puzzle-ville.

I haven't been able to successfully complete the underworld puzzle for some time
due to lag (when running). Try soul stoning skills around to give ur characters
enough magery for teleport. Ive been throwing a cheap 40lmr/100lrc suit on my
chars & using inviso scrolls to get in the teleport room unscathed.

Shame this is needed due to lag but it works. Only other option is, Ive heard
there are some programs that fix lag issues

My game has been lagging so bad it freezes up when I do simple stuff like click the apply button in the options panel. If there are two gargoyles flying I totally lag out too. UO has been taking up way too much resources. I don't know what to do to solve it. I tried the little toggles in options to adjust the framerate or page flipping, but that actually makes it worse for me. I used to be one of the fastest players in the game; now I can't hardly move and I haven't changed anything with my computer except allow UO to update.

I'm having a really hard time doing the rocks in Navrey too; I just run slower now.

The two gargoyles flying issue is related to your graphics card and processing. I had the same issue on my previous pc, which was a decent gaming rig.

But yea, game is still overly laggy.

I don't know about the CC, but in the EC you can turn off "idle animation" which will get rid of the "flap, flap, flapping" and greatly improve game-play due to less resources being used on graphics. I have to do this for large guild hunts and EM events if I even want to stand a chance at doing anything. But if its just me soloing around the world, I leave my animation on.
