Lady Melisande - pet/template/tips?

For those of you taking Lady Mel on, are you doing this by yourself, and if so, would you please share your tactics? (which pet you use, which type of tamer you are, any tips...)

I solo-ed Meli on my tamer a few times but honestly I wouldn't recommend it: It's boring, since pretty much all you do is cast heal on your pet, and it takes forever. I used a Cu when I did it, maybe with one of those Greater Dragons it's more feasable. I didn't get a chance to try that yet.

As for a template, I used a very much tricked-out mage/tamer/arcanist. So high magery, eval, resist, spellweaving, taming and lore, no vet. Avarage Medi, very low necro (enough to cast lich form with items) and ofcourse loads of MR items.
You really need all the mana you can get course you have to be able to sustain pretty much constantly healing your pets. Having said that; All my attempts were before the latest mana changes. I'm not at all sure it's still possible to regenerate enough mana to sustain such an effort.

I would definitely use a Cu Sidhe if you are tanking, assuming it is 65 phys. the wither damage isnt bad against a Cu. but if you can find a really nice super dragon to tank, then a super dragon can be better. it's often times easier to find a nice cu. with less people, the self healing of the cu frees you up to do other things like maybe dispel revs the Lady M will cast. Cus will also compliment the Veterinarian more, since they will sometimes heal you when you get in close

(but I wouldn't rely on it!)

if youre in a group, having someone discord and/or use a runebeetle will help speed up the hunt, but it isn't best to use anything but a Cu or a super dragon to tank
