Ladder placement question

I have a Casa Moga designed Keep and would like to use a ladder to climb to the front southeast corner to access it? Or is there another way to access it? I've tried to place a ladder and climb it a few times with no luck - but I am new, and this is the first time using a ladder so might need to work on it.

have you tried the castle ladder option that one go a little higher up

I did thank you won't place it in the keep - but a guildmate was able to show me a placement which works for it
