Ladder at the front Door?

Can we still place a ladder in the front door of a castle or keep?
i have read many thread about how to, but most of them is old, -2014.
So, is there any new way to make this work? plz help ^^

Thx for ur help, but this method doesn't work any more.+

news update, it still work, only problem is those ingots need to help the setup is 5 instead of 3 ^^
