Haven't played in about 8 years and thinking of returning. How is the activity on lake austin, and where has everyone moved to?

Originally was on GL and everyone was at brit bank, then moved to LA when it opened up and luna seemed to be the hot spot. I am playing on the trail and wondering where the new gathering point is?

Luna is still the spot most people go to conduct bank transactions, spam stuff for sale, pick up pets etc. Most players are in guilds and gather via alliance and guild chat functions. I don't think most of the chat features we have now were available 8 years ago, so meeting up with people you know is less dependent on chance and I very rarely even bother with ICQ any more.


Lake Austin is one of the less populated shards, but we have a great community with guilds to suit most play styles. Housing space is not an issue and I rarely see or even hear of any drama here.

Word of warning, a lot has changed in 8 years, read over whats new in Stratics or you may find yourself a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Welcome back to UO !!!...Most importantly, welcome to Lake Austin. !!
Sindris is right, there is alot of active guilds on LA...and with the new chat we have now in game can meet up with your friends and not have to go looking for them lol...
Luna is still the hot spot for players to hang but everyday I see more and more players returning to Britain..
There is alot to do in game now and for me I can't keep up with it all...Take Sindris advise and read as much as you can of all the new changes...
