KR: New character quest...

When will the "bug" be fixed for the KR New Character quest.

Its the one where you try to recall off of the rune entitled "The Darkness". If you fizzle then the quest is broken (You cannot ever recall off of it again).

I would be pissed if I was a new player, and actually making a new character

Ahh, it is a bug.. I tried for over a week to find out information about the problem I had and google only pointed to the old forums here before the crash.. I eventually gave up and deleted that char anyway.. The char that took it's place am not even sure if I still have the rune..

Yeah there's no reference to the bug anywhere so it leaves people wondering what THEY are doing wrong.

Before the crippling move they were planning on replacing the runes with a moongate that players could enter under the proper circumstances.. i'm guessing this is still the plan whenever they can get to it.

I was hit with that one (fizzled on Sac Journey) but it did "fix" itself the next day. I also did the quest on a new mage (after doing training quests), died in the battle and was never able to go back (rune turned black and even after a week I still couldn't recall off it). This leads me to another question, what if you created a Warrior without Chiv, there's no way to get to this quest (unless you use a recall scroll I guess but what new player would even know about them)??

Actually, part of the new player quest chain is learning to use a scroll, so having them figure out how to use recall from a scroll isn't that far of a leap, especially if they ask for help.

So my question is will it still let you take the quest if you wait till your skills are near GM level before you even try the first time? That way won't fizzle on the sacred journey or recall but the dark knight would be a cake walk since i ran over him with a pally trained to 50s.

New players don't know about recall scrolls though ;P

But player interaction can go a LONG way!
