Is there anyway you can assign the hotbar keys as mouse buttons. When I try It will change the key reading but it dosen't work when I press it.

If you have software that lets you set a mouse click or scroll to a keystroke, you can do that first (i.e. use a CTRL-ALT-x key combo ("x" = any key chosen)), then set the hotbar slot to that key combination.

Not sure if there are separate programs to do this, but the software for my razor mouse allows me to do this.

autohotkey.com for download. It allows you to customize keyboard and mouse, similar to what you can do with some mouse drivers (eg razor, microsoft, logitech) or G11/G15 keyboards or Nostromo N52 keypad.
