KR love?

KR is still far from finished. Can we get some kindof support for the client that was supposed to revitalize UO?

-Partial hueing.. still waiting.
-Clothing/Armor Layering issues galore
-Buggy macro system/hotbars
-Crashes/getting stuck alot
-Half the spells in the game have no spell effects
-Purple pots have no explosion effect
-Map needs work in terms of tracking players, NAV points, etc.
-POLISH!!!!!!!!!!

That's just the tip of the iceberg. Come on, devs. This is getting stupid. We NEED patches to finish this client!

You do remember the Kingdom Reborn client you released, right? Yeah a little support for that one would be great. Thanks.

Most of that list is dev's end, but a few of us have been hard at work compiling what UI bug fixes we can and we've come up with quite a few that we've released. CHeck out the links at the bottom to a couple of the web pages involved.

But yes, a KR patchurday (beyond "updated clilocs") would be a GREAT thing.

Submit bug reports.

That's what I did for the first 6 glorious months.

MONTH 12.

What should a person do? Submit the same bug reports every day, or just get by with less?

Get by with less.

Learn to be frugal. Learn to realize that the things you perceive as broken, will not get fixed. That's what I did and it is very rewarding. It is fine the way it is. hehe POLISH. POLISH!!! Have you Cntrl Shifted on regular ogres yet? That one is a mystery to me, but I guess it doesn't matter. Dert, dat's my you-oh!

Same as the 2D people do. Just learn to say "Dert, dat's my You-OH!"

I had to drop my machine down to a gig of RAM temporarily and KR still runs fine.

I'm more and more convinced that KR performance hinges mainly on the video card used... 256 Meg AGP Geforce 6 series or better (ATI equivilent may be good as well but I've known a few problems with them posted on the old KR forum).

So anything built within the past 3 years or so, assuming that it does NOT use an on-board video port, but uses an actual 3d card, OR a laptop that uses 256 Meg of DEDICATED video RAM should run KR fine.

I play KR exclusively and use an intel integrated chipset and don't have problems with the performance. The bugs however are a different story.

The one that's irritated me the most lately is the inability to scroll on crafting menus. Right now this is the only one that significantly interferes with my game play and one that should not have gone unfixed for this long!

5 other annoying bugs,

1. Shirts and surcoats art is reversed for the paperdoll.

2. Two handed weapons hang on a person's wrist instead of appearing in their hand

3. Use last object action simply stops working, seemingly randomly.

4. The tool you place in target by resource does not appear in the box.

5. Roofs on player made homes sometimes don't disappear when logging in forcing you to cross server lines an go back to be able to see in your own house.

One other that's not KR specific, but since the item is only available to people using KR I thought I'd mention it is the rune to fight the Dark Knight never turns back on after one use.

I've sent bug reports about all of them many times, sadly a lot of these started out working and were broken by subsequent patches. Ok, done venting now, back to the game!

Dermott of LS i have a 128mb nvidia fx5200 video card the game runs fine (what ever that means atm) i have a friend with the same amount of ram exact same video card he runs windows xp pro and i run windows vista and several variants of Linux, kr runs on almost all my os's but on his system it doesnt the only difference between my system and his is i am running amd processor he is running a Pentium 4 meaning also different mother boards funny thing is i have heard alot of people with complaints and as much as i want to say its processor or video card related truth is unless i can look at the system i cant tell if they have everything up to date to many what ifs in the whole lets get a game running on this system type
