Kindness in the Shard

Recently in search of greener pasture I visited Catskills. I came as an unassuming farmer looking poor individual.

To my surprise from the moment I came into New Haven the reception of the players were all of warmth and spirit of helpfulness (Now considered Rare).

I immediately felt I was at home and comfortable. As I ventured on to Luna to look for a runebook I got another surprise. It all happened so fast and somebody handed me a check for 1 million gp's! The kind soul was gone even before I could finish typing Thank you.

Because of the very good karma exhibited I decided to work out a character in this shard to see how it goes.

To all you unspoken helpful folks out there, my compliments to you all for your commendable unseen work which helps make this shard apart from the rest.

It's the spirit and attitude you described that makes me pround to call catskills my home. Welcome to the shard. If there's anything I fan do to help you get established don't hesitate to ask.

Most of the people on the Catskills shard are good people and willing to help anyone they can. You will find out that this shard is a community. Other shards may have more players, but none can best Catskills in pulling together and working towards a goal. Take our Zoo for example we have maintained the Silver steed on our shard longer then any of the other ones. Yes it has gone away a few times over the years, but the Tamers on our shard rally together and get it back as fast as they can. We also use to be one of the shards well known for all the role players that made Catskills their home.

If you get a chance join in one of the open "Doom runs" or stop by the Tram Yew Moongate on a Friday night around 8 EST, and join in the "Friday Night hunt event" that is open to anyone who wishes to come along. You will make new friends and have a great time too.

If you are who I thinks you be, I'm rather curious about how it went against the lizards in Despise on Tuesday.

For good community activities, GRI holds a Wed. Doom hunt (all skill levels welcome!) and the Friday hunts are picking up again.

And we're always looking for more people to hunt with. Many of us have long since decided that playing alone isn't as much fun as playing with each other.

Yes it is I, my thanks to you and your guildmate for giving me the needed dungeon runes to venture upon.

Well my farm tool scythe acquitted itself well against the Lizards, glad to say I had fun as other players were always there ready to bail me out if I got into trouble. I survived the experience and went on to get the free rewards at New Haven which helped me get fitted with better "blessed" armor.

I have a long way to go but surely the journey will be fine thanks again!
