Down again now, bit of a depressing outlook really, Ive not been back in UO very long but in that time had a whole day of siege being down, 2 almost whole days of log ins being down, one of them only applied to the enhanced client which is the only one I can use,.
Are these sorts of issues now common these days?

I would have thought with noticeably less players, problems like this would be less common but I suppose they maybe downgraded all the servers etc to cut costs, annoying considering the sub for this game is actually higher than others.

No, it is not common. The recent downtime for Siege was the first we have had for a long time (can't actually remember the previous occasion). The login servers going down happens a couple of times a year, but again, I can't recall when we last had such an extended unscheduled downtime as this.
