Kill List

Hey everyone,

I have finally finished my FIRST set of armor for my first sampire and have started to hunt bigger game. Currently my build is as follows..

115 Swords
100 Tactics
115 Bushido
91 Parry
99 Necromancy
100 Resist - originally this was Anatomy but I kept dying a lot to mana drains
80 Chivalry

So far I have been able to complete..

Rikktor spawn - I maybe die 1-2 times on the spawn due to mobs taking flight and unable to "target nearest" anything to keep my life up and just overwhelming myself in general (inexperience) - estimated time is about 30-40 minutes for the spawn portion
- Rikktor - It takes me over 30-45 minutes alone to joust this guy down using honor, EoO, and chain AI (consecrate when I get low mana), and running away when he hits me to confidence my health back up. I am using a HSL, HML, Reptile, SSI, DI Broadsword. I have heard other people reporting kill times on Rikktor himself as low as 6 minutes. Are there any glaring holes in my strategy that I am using? (max AI around 140)

- Coon - I haven't acquired a broadsword slayer yet so i just use the soulseeker and spam confidence for health when I get hit too much, whirlwind the adds. I am only hitting him for around 30-40 though and it feels like it takes quite awhile to kill a pretty easy champ.

- Semidar - I managed the spawn OK, but my character was male and I ended up just leaving Semidar because I couldn't touch her. Anything I can do about this other than reroling female?

I have yet to try any of the peerless bosses.

Would anyone mind posting a general guide on completing the different spawns, champs, and peerless bosses?

My gear is not ideal. I am running Mace and Shield with a set of imbued leather armor that gives me all 70s, 25 HPI, 40 LMC, 40 stamina, and mana on any piece with spare imbues. I am also not using any 120s yet because I haven't been able to afford them.

You're doing great to get started. Keep it up. The one thing you could do to most improve your character is to get to 120 weapon skill. If gold is an issue, get a 120 mace fighting scroll as they are cheap. Don't let anyone kid you -- mace fighting can be very effective on a sampire. War Axe AI and Blackstaff whirldwind ftw!

I have also been toying with the idea of picking up SS somewhere to help against ights I have issues staying alive. Does anyone here keep some SS on their sampire for cursed weapon?

I looked into prices of macing yesterday. I can get a 120 Macing for 200k, Fencing for 200k, or Swords for 6mil. The only problem is that I have put a few mil into the swords weapons I am using now and don't really want to have to invest into macing just that I will only use until I get the swords scroll.

For Rikki I use a reptile slayer whirlwind weapon with 50% hit cold area for the spawn. Once Rikki is up I honor him, drag him away from any spawn that's leftover, and use a dragon slayer weapon with AI. I would recommend you go that route instead of sticking with the reptile slayer so that not having achieved perfection won't slow you down quite as much. Since you have parry, remember to have counter attack toggled as much as possible. I run healing instead of parry and it generally takes me ~10 minutes to take him down. I think my AIs run from 150 to 168 dmg using a broadsword when all is said and done, if that helps. Note that running healing instead of parry I don't reach the mana discount, so I can't chain AI's non-stop...generally have to get a few regular whacks in from time to time to get mana back up.

For the semidar you could go into wraith form and spam out the curse weapon for life leech, this negates the issue with male form though all my chars are female for just this reason. Riktor should be taking you less time, the big issue with him his again cast curse weapon, AI AI AI and listen for the EQ. Don't get double hit with that and you should be fine.
