What is the best tamer temp now?

I will be starting on atlantic since i hear it has the largest player base.

I will be starting over with no skills.

Also how much is a 20 lore and taming scroll now adays?

Many different ways to play a tamer now, depending on what type of style you want.

My pure PvM tamer is similar to the oldschool mage/tamer, all i have changed is now i have 0 eval and 110 Spellweaving (look into this skill, www.uoguide.com)

I have a "gimp" template PvP tamer, with swords bushido and parry.

there are many combos from ninja, stealth tamer to archer tamers, and of course the old classic mage/med/eval tamer is still viable.

There is also a template set for spawns which uses necro/ss taming (not sure how heal maybe vet)

Theres 4/6tamers out there...even seen stealth alcehmy!!!

I could go on but there seriously are too many to count (even thief tamers!!!)

Its all personal and whether you want to PvP or PvP, if PvM i would definatly say go:

120taming
120 Lore
120Vet
110mage
120med
110SW (i cant go 120 in all not old enough account cant get my old one)

Then...lol yes theres more!...you have to decide your pet choice.

WW/Mare not really viable anymore since the introduction of the Rune Beetle(best pet in game IMHO) plus the mare is now underpowered due to the bake and dread mare...and drags OMG!!! they are dead!!! Greater drags are the most popular due to 900+hp 600+ mana over 80 in 3 resists and can go 4x120 in skills!(takes 5 slots and i personally dont like them)

Edit: would have to check shard prices on GL they range from 1-4mil depending on supply.

Thanks do you still need eval for magery for spellweaving? Also i heard that people can now solo champ spawns is this true?

You need magery to do damage with direct damage magery spells (fireball, flamestrike, exp, ebot etc), but not for things like mind blast. Eval is not required for spellweaving, but for that you want as much SDI (Spell Damage Increase) items as you can wear.

Solo champ spawns(baracoon classic example) is easy on a necro, so a necro tamer would have no problem. Other spawns maybe a 4/6 chiv vet met would be better so you can heal quick (although staying hidden an of target be a problem) maybe a ninja stealth vet so you can remain hidden and smoke bomb when in trouble (although healing may not be fast enough).

With the weaver temp, i personally use it to keep my pet alive nothing else! the only magery i really cast is cure(occasionally) invis(alot) and thats about it. other than that its all spellweaving (i dont have much SDI i have a high luck suit) but for the most part i will use reaper form and arcane empowerment to boost power(spellweaving spells)

On Atlantic...about 3-5 mil for the taming, probably 2-3 for the lore, depending on if you can find them outside of Luna.

In Luna, especially around the 4 corners vendors, expect to pay high end pricing. If you can find them outside of Luna, you may get them for as little as half the amounts above.
