A buddy of mine got this e-mail today. I'm pretty sure it's a scam. Keep in mind, folks, that NO COMPANY OR WEBSITE will ever ask you to e-mail your account and personal info to them. You do business ONLY through the official website. If you're ever unsure, then contact the company or website and ask them for verification. This is the e-mail, with a few things deleted for obvious reasons:
Greetings!
It has come to our attention that you are trying to sell/trade your personal
Ultima Online account.
As you may or may not be aware of, this conflicts with the EULA and Terms of
Agreement.
If this proves to be true, your account can and will be disabled. It will be
ongoing for further investigation by EA employee's. ***(Note, EA Customer Service reps know how to use proper grammar)***
EA might consider taking legal actions against your crime, if it seems to be of an
extreme nature. ***(Note, it's not illegal to sell your account, lmao. This is called a scare tactic)***
If you wish to not get your account suspended you should immediately verify your
account.
This action is taken because we at EA Entertainment take issues of this nature
quite serious. We need to confirm you are the original owner of the account.
This is easiest done by confirming your personal information along with concealed
information about your account.
You can confirm that you are the original owner of the account by replying to this
