Hello Chessy,
I have translated a painting from Governor Sweetpeez. I have translated this 'artwork' to the best of my ability and anything that is incorrect is definitely the governor's fault.
The city of Jhelom is in need of funding in order to keep up the trade deal with the Guild of Arcane Arts. This deal cost the city treasury 2 million gold pieces a week. I am asking for help from the citizens and friends of Jhelom for help in securing these weekly deals. In order to make the fundraising a bit more bearable, I have come up with a 4 week cycle of mini games/events. They will be held every Wednesday at 8:30 pm EST.
Week 1 - The Single Trade
Getting as much gold for Jhelom is the aim of this game. You will want to have someone that can kill ambushers and a boat on you.
All participants will meet up at the South docks next to the Trade Minister. If your order is to an island, you may drop it once to try for a land destination. Once the orders are filled, meet up at the East Docks and Governor Sweetz will sail everyone over to the mainland. (This is just a short NE jaunt.) Once there, make your way to your destination. You will have 20 minutes to make it there so go slow and get those ambushers a popping. The more you kill; the more money for Jhelom. You will get a 5 minute warning and once at the trade minster - WAIT!!! until your name is called to turn in the order. The stone updates instantly and I need to write down amounts so I can figure out how much gold you received for your order. You can recall back to Jhelom after and meet at the town stone or Gov. Sweetz can open a gate for you. Once there, place your order reward into the 'Pressie Packie'. The player with the highest amount will be declared the winner and receive all the rewards on the Pressie Packie. All other players will receive 10k to help offset the trade order filling cost. In the event of a tie, a lucky dealer will be call upon to break it.
Week 2 - How Many Trades for Jhelom Can you Complete?
Speed is the winning factor here. Players can use the moongates for this game in order to complete as many as possible in 20 minutes.
All participants will meet up at the South docks next to the Trade Minister. You will get a trade, fill it, then deliver it. Once delivered, you return to the Jhelom trade minister and place your reward in the Pressie Packie. (Gov. Sweetz will have runes for the trade minister in Jhelom for anyone that wants one in order to be a little quicker to return.) Continue taking orders from the Jhelom Trade Minister until the 20 minutes is up. If you take an order and time is called, you can complete it. All rewards gotten from any order after your first is yours to keep. The player with the most trades run will be declared the winner. They will receive all rewards in the Pressie Packie. In the event of a tie, a lucky dealer will be call upon to break it.
Week 3 - First to Return
Speed and luck will be the biggest factors in this game. All cities will have a chance to benefit a little with this game. All participants will again meet at the Jhelom Trade Minister. You will take an order, fill and deliver it. Once you turn in the first order, take your next order from the city you are currently in and continue trading in that fashion until someone receive an order for Jhelom. The first person to return to Jhelom will be declared the winner. In case of tie, the first person to open a trade window with Gov. Sweetz will be declared the winner. Each time this game is played, the rewards will vary slightly. The Governor will tell you what item to place in the Pressie Packie. One game it maybe be your highest granite; the next it maybe your lowest ore color. All other rewards are yours to keep.
Week 4 - Town Stone Auctions
This event is going to be a small auction with all gold going to the town stone of Jhelom. Leigh Ann will be running at least one trade a day from Jhelom and not use moongates. All rewards will be put aside for the auction. (So far there is one sign and 176 valorite granite, among others.) All you need to do is show up with your full bank account. Auction lots will depend upon what Leigh Ann receives as a reward. All signs will be sold separately, all dragon scales will be sold as a lot, all ignots will be sold as a lot, granite will be sold separately by color, all .1 and lesser (ex. focus) pinks will be a lot, other pinks will be sold separately (ex. animal taming - if Leigh Ann is lucky), gems will be sold as a lot, and all other rewards will be sold as a lot. Hopefully, Governors Zoogi and Violet Darkthorn will allow us the use of the auction house. Governor Sweetpeez will be the auctioneer and Susan the Focus Buddy will be the money taker. (She will have an empty bank account and all who want to go to the bank to see zero balance before and after auction are welcome.)
Thank you to all who read all the way through this long post. It is the Governor's hope that many will participate and have fun. She would love to see the city in good standing with the Guild of Arcane Arts for a long time to come. Any ideas you may have to improve the fun of the games are welcome; simply post them below.
Sincerely,
Lady Marge
