It's annoying, num keys and uo macroes in CC

I'm using a danish windows version.
The last 2 patches, I had to edit Keynames.txt to be able to use the num keys in macroes and to readd my macroes for the num keys. It is years ago sinse I had to do it last.

The problem is, in Keynames.txt, NUM need to be spelled with uppercase chars to work with danish Windows.
After the 2 last patches, they was back to be spelled Num and I lost my macroes for the chars I had logged in after the patch.

Maybe others danish players don't get why their num keys macroes won't save.
Just changes the spelling in the keynames.txt and it will work.

Yep, same here, it's a bit of an annoyance. I'm using a swiss german keyboard on a german windows OS - I know this sounds ugly, but that's the common setup in the swiss german speaking part of Switzerland! Without a customized / corrected version of the keynames.txt file, I cannot create any macros which are tied to the Num Pad and several other special keys.

Since the replacement of the old CC patcher, every time a patch comes in, I have to manually replace the keynames.txt with my own customized version. It even messes up my already created macros if I forget to reinsert my own version before logging in after a patch has been applied.

It would be nice to have this overzealous new CC patcher leaving certain files alone if a patch comes in and the "perform full file check" box is not checked, like:
  • keynames.txt
  • desktop.nwb (default desktop layout for new chars)
  • the whole \Music\Digital\*.* directory (for those with old converted midi UO tunes in there)
For the time being, I wrote a little DOS batch file which reinserts my personal files - my "patcher for the patcher"! :whip:

Maybe they just forgot about it, when we got a new CC patcher. I hope they will fix it.
