Items that don't work in secondary bags (which should)

Okay, so I am a shadow elemental fighting machine now that I ported 120 macing to my smith. The problem? Using a Prospector's Tool sucks because you have to use it from your main pack. It gets covered by ore, ingots, gems, special gems, blackrocks, you name it, and I wish I could use it in a secondary bag within my main backpack. This thread is for stuff like that, and hopefully a dev will take a look ;p.

Or you can just get Pinco's UI, and use a Legacy Grid Container.

I am color deficient, and hate a cluttered pack. The EC pack was awful, even with the Grid.

Pinco's UI makes the pack viewable, and the grid eliminates the clutter.

I love that UI.

Some of us really like the free backpacks of UO. Its part of the charm of what the game is. We don't want to "WoW-clone" our game. :(

can a pickaxe be imbued? (to leave ARMED) ... ergo skipping "a" baggage change?
a pickaxe ... more a "macer class" (to me) tool ... rocks or skulls ... "BAM" crack it to see whats inside
Real World IS a two handed thang ... and I have seen some good old boys that can wield it like a cheerleaders baton ...
(go ahead! *grin* tease one of Them ... :lol: )

I forget and flushed all of my tink's ... the metals are still "make-able" to ?No Effect? when tinking a pickaxe for a miner?
Just thinking aloud ...
but, with imbueing and tinking and a wide range of materials(don't forget crystals and jewels and Black rock and wood/metal for handles...)
A tink/smith should be able to make a specific TYPE of pickaxe ... or modify one of the "found" ones ...

You are free to like what you like, and I am free to do the same.

What "Charms" you may not charm me, and vice-versa. I get that.

So please...step off your Self Righteous little stool for a second and realize that.

Or not...makes no difference to me. No one will "Force" you to "WoW-Clone" anything.

It was a simple suggestion.

I totally understand...if the EC ever becomes desirable to you, then the UI from Pinco is awesome in my book.

And I like those ideas as well. I wonder what types of enhancements beyond the norm could be Developed by our Developers for such Crafting/Gathering items!?

I have the EC, and Pinco's UI. Neither solve my problem. When you have a Prospector's Tool and you put it in a secondary container the game says the Prospector's Tool is "not in your backpack." I appreciate the comments though!

Also, my OP has nothing to do with needing to disarm a pickaxe, Fayled. lol ... and a pickaxe is a sword because of the blade. Maces are blunt. :p Y'all don't mine anymore, do ya? ;P

Can you "last weapon switch" between the pick and the TOOL?
ACCESS to the tool (either) IS what I am addressing ... both being easier >in hand< ... yes?
(no WAY its a fencing/sword weapon ... less you mean digging post holes FOR the fence ... nes pas? *wink*)

Did the case of CC ... just in case you were in that condition
As you ain't ... and others maybe ...

weapon switch is the only "real" suggestion I can manage.

Plus allowing the use of salvage bag while tongs/scissors are in sub containers.


PS, I get around this issue in the CC by placing my prospector tool on the top left hand corner. The head of the prospector tool never gets blocked totally this way no matter how much ore I have.

Also, I set up a UOA macro to use prospector tool type on last target. Besides that, I have a smelt ore on beetle macro as well.

UOA - organizer agent. Set an inner bag up as org bag for ingots, gems - even blackrock pieces. What I did was mine until I was just about overweight, smelt only large ores on the beetle (macro), then keep going and repeat as needed until vein was tapped out.

Manually smelt medium and smalls on the beetle. Single smalls stayed in the main pack. kick off org agent and it moved the 3 items to my bag for me. As weight crept up I would periodically shift only ingots to the packie I took along.

I could stay out in the field a long time - especially as he was a GM Tinker and if needed I would make shovels - when I ran out of "Sturdy <item>" stuff.

I love the charm of the old backpacks too, while people are busy moving items all over the public corpses too see what others forgot in the ec i can snatch em up quickly and i have gotten several of those defieler katanas this way or items left behind on reknowned because there hard to see...

Toggling quest items in the main pack is a pain as well. It's easier to have a sub-bag to drop them into as I collect them to keep everything organized. Then when I get ready to turn them in, I have to drag them all to my main pack. It's so annoying.

Definitely, especially with small things like tattered remnants.
