Items in locked down chests

Why is it now you have to release the chest to take an item out of a pouch? I just lost my entire Vesper Meseum Collection as i had each set in pouches in a locked down chest set to anyone so folks could see. I went to get a Kryss out to use this morning and had to unlock the chest. Yes it was my fault to not relock it down. But why was that changed. Before all i had to do was realeas the 1 pouch i wanted and then it was locked back down automatically. Now have to redo the turn ins if i want the colleciton again.

Yep same here. I conccur good sir, i lost all my aquarium stuff, granted it was givin to me, so it's not a big deal, but it was still lame and it shouldn't have happened. REALLY sucks for you tho man, I am very sorry to hear that. And yes it was a pouch also, very odd, was very confused...

BTW It said all the things in the pouch were locked down in their properties.

I can't figure why you would lock down a bag already inside a chest.
In all my years I've never done that before. Set security to owner and there should be no problem.

I did once forget to lock down a tailor chest and lost a few years worth of bods n leathers though, that was my own fault....I learned a lesson.

It's not that you locked something down that is already in a container. There are two methods of locking stuff down in containers.

There is simply locked down, then there is locked down and secure

When you had a container locked down you could release and remove items individually from inside the container without having to completely release the outer container. Now you can't do that anymore. You must release the whole container.

They were fixing a bug that gave you unlimited lockdowns, 125 per locked down (but not secured) container, because when you release an item in a locked down (but not secured) container, it no longer applied to the count of the house. A house could have the max lockdowns as containers * 125 ... for instance a house with 500 lock down containers could have 62500 items.

The more preferable fix would have been to make it so locked down (but not secure) containers with released items DID apply to the count of the house. The super-fast easy fix was to make it so you couldn't release an item inside the locked down container, which was necessary to use storage bug.

I read somewhere that it was a step in duping items. But that was awhile ago. Stuff used to stay locked down inside after you released the container it was in. I dont know how it worked but maybe it has something to do with it. But then again, it was posted by a guy like me so...... .

Jeremy's comment at the last uo town hall in San Diego was she would look into it and was not sure at the time if it was intentional or not since it was not given to her for her patch notes.

I do hope it is looked into soon.

Was it intended and if not will it be fixed soon or someday?
