Item search in my house

I need a house search gump on the house sign. I put my blacksmithy talisman in a bag and then in a crate and then in something else and it happened on some floor in my tower. I have so much stuff that I need a tool to help me find stuff. No, it isn't with my other smithy stuff nor in his bank. I didn't appear to loan it to my other characters.

Help I need a search tool that provides sorting.

Taking it a bit further (I remember a thread regarding searching in ideas den) an item search tool that searches vendors. I spend so much time looking and not enough time playing.

Use those ingraving tools to label you containers. I never loose stuff this way.

ya. I labeled my boxes too but lots of time I will have a box that is sitting near door that would be labeled 'to be sorted'. Then after a while i d have 5/6 boxes in the front lawn 'to be sorted'. I can go months without sorting...Then I cant find anything. Anyhow I like the list view in the enhanced client. It does make searching a LOT easier.

I have a pre-sorting system that helps me find and further sort stuff easily.

Quicker than putting things into their final order, and slightly more involved than simply dumping bags off, I sort items by basic shape or form. Round things, square things, pointy things, wet things, lumpy things, flat things, tiny things, sparkly things, etc.

I know it sound weird - I've been told several times - but it works really well. Of course I eventually put it into more sensible categories but, if I want to quicky sort dumped bags, or quickly find something I know I haven't yet categorised, I find it's a good system.

Uh....quit being so lazy and sort the stuff already? rolleyes:

OP- Dev time is better spent on more concrete projects than helping packrats get over their laziness and organize.

Imbuing seems to have raised the bar on what's worth keeping.

I had a thousand pieces of jewelry at one point. I pared it down to a dozen pieces with one or two solid properties and no junk attributes, stuff either to make copies for when my own gear runs out, or for sale. The rest was unraveled, as is now the fate of all mediocre items I come across. Likewise I have kept a handful of artifacts and runic pieces.
