Item Durability and Golem Training

I was starting to mess around with an older 100% poison weapon (cutlass) and an old golem I had from way back. Since it takes damage its not pre-patched. One thing I noticed that the durability dropped extremely quick I couldn't have been doing the training for more then 15 minutes and it dropped 12 points from 37 to 25. Is this a normal rate of decay for training with a golem or am I doing something wrong? Useful information: I am guilded and use guard on me, standing on top of the golem when training. Also training in my house, not sure if that could be it.

Any info would be appreciated.

Well... if you're using a pre-patch golem and a 100% poison weapon, you shouldn't be losing durability in the first place...

I take it you mean the cutlass is loosing durability and not the golem? If so, that is normal to loose durability during any fight - although that did sound like a higher than normal amount.

Yes I did mean the Cutlass basically I tried moving to Luna as a test and it seemed to help a bit and then the durability starting dropping crazy fast again, it went from 37 to 10 in under an half hour (dropping one point per average 18 swings that hit). I am aware that item durability drop with use but I have never seen one drop this fast.

Since the golem isn't pre-patched as I hoped I will just make a new one and see if I get the same results. I have a dagger I could try but no char that is high enough to test right now.

Finally someone was at Luna training a weapon skill (his was a crossbow) and I watch to see if the durability rate was similar and it was dropping 10 points in about 10 minutes. I guess that's the way it works. It probably less problematic to train to regular way, at least I don't have to repair every half hour.

I noticed with the shadowlords my weapons were getting damaged really fast. Maybe something has gone wrong with the code on it.
