Issue with last EM Battle Chicken event.

There has been some less than positive back and forth between Omnius and my brothers on the rares forums and to a lesser extent this forum as well. My intention is not to cause more drama, merely get the point across that I am trying to make about this issue.

During the last event as Helios was making the statues for the participants our clever friend Omnius was able to steal an unengraved statue from Helios. These posts sum it up nicely:

Now the issue that I am trying to make is that everything that occured in the event by Omnius is strictly against the rules of the event arena as written very clearly in the rules book. In my opinion if the rules are not going to be properly enforced I can forsee at least 2 possible outcomes. The first is that now that one person has been able to profit from breaking the rules more people will attempt to do the same. The second outcome and the one which I fall into is, why bother going to events of this nature when the rules are not enforced.

So there it is, I personally plan on persuing this until Helios responds to me. I have sent him a pm many days ago. Whichever way he responds will end this issue with me and I will have to take whatever judgement he chooses and move on from there. It is much less of an issue with Omnius even though he feels attacked, then with the constant rules violations and interruptions I have had to deal with at some of these events.

L*D was banned from the arena for an undetermined time period. The punishment extended to the entire L*D guild, at least at that event.

That is true, however I still don't think you should be able to profit from breaking the rules. That is my stance on the issue and when Helios gets back to me and says if he is going to destroy the item or let you keep it, I will make my mind up on which course I am going to take.

It's well outside of his hands and he's made that decision the night it was stolen. Helios respects the thief play style and respects true thieves, not the garbage who call themselves persuasion thieves(scammers that occasionally utilize the skill).

Nobody disputes it was a clean steal. and the punishment to L*D guild was already exacted, we got banned from the arena.

I am still eagerly awaiting an official response from him on the matter. It is not a matter of the thief play style or anything to that nature. If the theft had occured anywhere else than the arena, where snooping/stealing is not allowed; you would have no issue. In that regard I dispute the fact that it was a clean steal. I'm sure many other players have thieves as well, wouldn't it be great if they all broke the rules and it was one giant chaotic theft after another. The reason why this doesn't occur is because snooping/stealing is against the rules and there would be no easy way to have events proceed.

You realize he can turn off peoples ability to rob him right? The punishments to the rules are clearly stated. Your desire to harass me merely shows your age.

The ability to profit off breaking the rules is wrong and that is still my argument. It is obvious that we disagree, and you feel harassed. So this is my last response to you directly. I will wait for EM Helios to get back to me and just hope that other people understand the issue.

Yeah, let's rest this issue until it is resolved by the EM one way or the other. The back and forth bickering can go on forever.

jealousy over the fact L*D stole an item from an EM will get you nowhere. Players steal from EMs periodically. they've never punished a player for it because it's within the rules.
