ISO Solid PvM Templates

Hello all,

I've been looking around the forum and so far, I have not find what I am looking for, I only do PvM and I want diversity, so far on my account, I got a Sampire, an ABC Archer, 2 Crafters. I would like to create a Mage and a Fisherman (last spot) to complete my account.

I would like advices on PvM Mage templates

But I have only 700 skill points, what should I change ? Also, I have +25 Stats, what should I look for stats wise ?

Drop the spellweaving. Or drop meditation to 80. It depends on what kind of gear you have. If you can get to 60 spell damage increase and have 12+ mana regen you will be fine with 80 meditation.

I am in the same boat with only 700 skill points and want to do a mage. Thinking about the same template.

If I go human I get 20 in everything so basically it is 20 wasted points. Guess I could go Elf and get jewelery.

Any more thoughts? I want a mage who will give me really good DPS at spawns.

With imbuing you should be able to piece together a suit that has around 30-40 sdi and 12 mr. Then drop your meditation to 80. The rest of your mods should be, 2/6 casting, 40 lmc, 100 lrc. Don't worry too much about dci, unless you are getting raided alot. Then you need to focus more on a pvp Mage.

Equip a scrappers, but don't rely on it for mods. Just for the sdi.

The necro weave Mage is an excellent spawner as well. The combination of wither, thunderstorm, and essence of wind is really cool. With a level 5 or 6 weave focus you will burn through the first two levels of most spawns. A healer is really nice.

You are getting 5 mr from focus and another 8 from 80 med. Which equates to 120 med on your standard elf Mage. Plus you have some killer spells with mystic, and with highish(60+) sdi you will be a spawn clearing machine.

Another big plus to the scribe mystic is that you can make a full set of spellbooks. I carry a bunch on all my mages. Since they changed the way slayers work it is more advantageous to carry specific slayer books.
