Island in abyss

There is a small island in the abyss guarded by Krakens. The entrance to the island appears to be close to the puzzle room path. The map shows that a path leads to the island and that there are stealable artifacts on the island. Can someone tell me how to get there?

Go along the corridor where the goblin traps are, then straight on, through the gate and down the steps teleport or shadow jump from the shore.

It helps to cast an earth elemental or similar to occupy the kraken if you're planning to steal the items.

You have to teleport or shadowjump to the isle. Shadowjumping is my preferred method, as I remain hidden from the Kraken.
