Is there really any good reason why we can't use 2 clients at once?

I have two accounts. I have two computers. I can run two accounts at once.

Player X has two accounts. He has one computer. He doesn't get to run two accounts at once.

Is there really any valid reason as to why people can't run two clients on one machine? I understand that people can use the second account to train off of and what not, that's what I do. But should someone have to pay for a second PC just to be able to do that? After all it's only illegal to run two clients on one pc, not two clients from one location. Makes no sense to me.

you can use to clients at once, if you have xp. On separate user accounts using 'fast switching' between users.

I wasn't aware of that but that is still more proof that it doesn't make sense to let us run more than one client (on this same login in XP then)

It is a conspiricy... EA is secretly owned by Intel... you just don't know it:hahaha::lie:

Am I considered a true computer geek since I can run way more than 2 accounts in my household without mutliclienting on the same computer?

Actually the very best option for this is a Virtual Machine, then you can run them both on the same login "legally" ;)

we've had this discussion before. Naming unapproved add ons is against RoC. Please edit.

The reason the 'unapproved' programmes are unapproved is because they enable people to do things the UOA does not. Things that we are not intended to be able to do.

Yes there is a good reason, because using one computer one client can scripted to be controled by the other very easily.

Put it this way, you can get in more trouble on this forum just by mentioning it is possible than you can by actually doing it.

Go figure......

just run a mac and run windows simultaneously multiple times. the multiple user thing is still the same computer and produces the same effect. different instances of windows altogether is where legit begins.

That is exactly why I say Virtual Machines, just get yourself a copy of the free VM software that is available and build yourself a couple of virtual machines and you ahve access to as many clients as you want pending that your computer can handle it :)

You can if you start KR first, then run 2D with no UO assist =)

Honestly I don't understand it either. Having to switch back and fourth between user accounts and UIs is kind of rediculous. You use to be able to open the client.exe file in one of the EA UO subfolders but they've finally got around to fixing that.

I suppose it's a good thing though to prevent scripters from using multiple accounts on a single user account but then again scripters also have a way around that.

So it is all apart of what we call a vicious circle.
