Is there an insurance bug?

Tonight while playing n despise, I somehow managed to get my glasses taken off of my body.
I had an extra pair thankfully, but I know for a fact I had enough gold in my account (5 mil was in the bank) and the two times I had died before, they were there so they were insured. What the heck? I'm so disappointed because those were given to me by a friend who no longer plays. =[

Sort of this... but some people/groups seem to benefit from it too often to be "impossible to reproduce".

I'm still of the opinion that it is a series of actions or character states that is hard to reproduce in a PvP environment due to all the ganking that goes on.

I was in Despise and I think I might have just been killed by spawn when my client crashed. When I loaded everything back up, I was dead with the message "your pet could not follow you as a ghost. Please log out and try again" or something like this (I have an ethy, which was just fine). I left quickly, ressed, and then returned to get everything thinking maybe it was still on my body. EVERYTHING was there but the glasses. My aids, my apples and my petals. Weird?

Empty your pack, and check the item count sometimes items are in there but inaccessible and not drawn, and need the work of a GM to fix/retrieve.

Similar thing happened to me in Despise last night as well. The arms from my LRC suit would drop with my corpse even though they were insured. Kind of an off and on again thing thouh sometimes they stay in my pack sometimes they drop on my corpse. The arms art continually disappears as well in the EC so I wonder if the issues are linked to this.

I posted about this bug on the Origin boards and reported it to EA.. maybe now ppl from my own shard will believe me when I say theres something up after someone loses a whole suit with gold in the bank =/ and I've insured items, lost them, reinsured them and lost them again, also with gold in the bank, check form and piles. So... like I told ppl on Origin 2 weeks ago almost, beware when travelling in Fel atm. I havent had any issues in Tram so far.

I am pretty sure it has something to do with lag.
During the luna invasion event, I experienced it twice after dying and going back to my corpse to find there were insured items on it.

I have lost items in a 100% PvM arena ... totally insured to that character, plenty of cash in the bank - gold and check form. Items were equipped and not in either main or inner packs.

Have lost only a few items myself due to this. PVP guilds do not know how to make people's suit drop. That's just a huge rumor.

It's random. For me, it's just been a few pieces off my suit each time. Had been using them for at least several weeks each time, and hadn't moved them between chars. I don't think anyone knows how it happens for sure.

Yes, I have had a few situations where insured items remained on my corpse.

I sent in a bug report because my newb crafter's insured bone arms would be equipped when I logged out but in her backpack everytime I logged in. (She never died was always alive)

I did notice on logging in that I'd get that thing that happens when you cross a server line, stat adjustment, this was in Heartwood Tram. Maybe I was standing on a server line?

Not long after I sent the bug report I happened to notice my char was wearing some plus strength jewelry.

So having low real strength plus wearing + strength gear might have something to do with it especially if you log in and out quickly to summon your pet after you die and get rezzed?

I don't pvp so I'm just guessing that maybe pvpers don't take characters with super low strength to Fel but I know mage pvpers prefer lower strength requirements mage weapons because when they get cursed a high str req weapon will be disarmed.

I never actually lost my insured bone arms though they were always in my pack.

I remember this bug being addressed some time ago. Its due to this bug that you can no-longer sell insured items on vendors...

If the item was insured by someone else then it has a rare/random chance of just dropping to your corpse. In short ALWAYS insure your kit yourself!

They only did that because the players would not understand/want to believe that it was THEIR mistake. Therefore the DEVs got tired of all the crying and just decided to give you guys a reason to believe it wasn't actually your uncaring fault.

I was killed in fel despise last night and after I got rez and went back to body I just clicked on corpse to gather all my belongings. It looked like no one had looted me, but then I noticed my resists were low and saw that my blessed mark of travesty was missing. I hurried back to check on my corpse to see if it somehow stayed there but corpse was gone.
Not sure how this happened unless it's a bug or something. All I know is I'm short a stealth mark of travesty. I did try logging out and back in every way and where I could think of with no results. Double checked bank box and all places I would store it in my house just in case. Maybe I got drunk and sold it, but dont remeber lol
