To turn only the war music off? I really enjoy all of the other town musics and such but I'm always playing in combat mode and it isn't my favorite tune so I'm forced to just play with sound.

My best bet would be to go into Ultima Online Classic\Music\Digital and move/rename the music you dislike.
yes, unless things have changed, you should be able to go into the UO music folder (in CC at least) and remove the war ones, then make copies of the non-war songs and rename them the war song names, and put them back into teh music folder. that way you'd hear the non war songs whether you're in combat mode or not. it's been a few years since i played with the music, so not sure if that still works. i used to be able to double click each song and it would open in itunes and i could identify which ones i didn't like.
