Is there a way to convert a custom 18x18 to a classic?

I don`t wanna drop it if I don`t have to.Seems like I remember this being possible,but not real sure. Something to say under the sign? Hopefully I won`t hafta clean out my entire house to change to a classic style. Thanx in advance.

None I know of. Only from classic (any that is smaller than a keep) to customized.

Gotta drop the plot and place a classic house if you want a classic house.

Or, y'know, use something like insideuo to get the floor by floor plans of a classic house and build it and you'd have room outside for a nice garden or something.
I did that before, built an L-shape plaster house on an 18x18 plot + garden & pond.

No No, that will work to change the house and save your land from stealthers but ALL OF YOUR ITEMS WILL FALL TO THE GROUND!.
Resizing a house is like collapsing and replacing. You'll have to stash the items elsewhere.

I'm in a nice mood right now so I'll also warn you about pack animals. If you stash your items in pack horses/beetles keep them away from your house when you resize and be careful if you leave them somewhere cause they might go wild. (wild though, is much better than gone)

I like this idea the best, personally.

Let's you try out your new housing idea without the grief of moving everything. Plus you have some extra area for storage or decoration.

Sticking to the question from the OP though.. There is no Classic house that is 18x18 tiles, and either way, i dont think you are at all able to convert from Plots to classic designs.

Without demolishing or resizeing.. Both works the same way.
