With these skills :

120 Magery
120 Resists
120 Eval
120 Med
100 Inscription
120 Spellweaving

My paperdoll tells me I am a Legendary Scholar? Errr what happened to the Mage?

The skill titles are dependent on the order in which the skills were added to the game AND the name of the skill. If you set all your other skills to locked and magery to go up, it will display Legendary Mage.

Yep! Its all explained in the handy skill titles guide on this site.

On an unrelated tangent, how do find runnign with 120 spellweaving? I am trying to get a feal for the skill. Does it improve your lower level powers, like Attunement, or Nature's Fury, substantially to ahve a much higher skill?

Thanks for the info very helpful.:)

Well, personally I have Spellweaving to compliment my Magery and casting options. Since I am also an Elf I felt SW was a mandatory skill as the Elves have mastered the art. Somewhat like Elves always gets better yeild in mining etc.

Powerwise, letting 1 EV and 3 Nature Fury spells do their job as I ponder my next options is really SWEET.

True. At the risk of pushing my luck, though, you can get nature's fury un-fizilable at... what, 40%? Pizies/Imps at 60-something? Do the power of your lower level spells actually increase substantially with higher levels of the skill? That is, does Nature's fury do more damage now that you have 120 SW than it did when you had only 40? Or is it like Most spellcasting skills where you only need to be able to /cast/ the spells you want, but their effectiveness is based on somethign else?

At 120 SW the spells do just what they were meant for (JMHO). However i.e. Wildfire spell, there seems to be a more potent effect as the entire 5 sec of the spell is initiated, at lower levels they seem to last too short as many may have noticed. Fizzies are all but seldom and far and in between if ever.

On Natures Fury shooting 5 spells is a cinch. Once done it buys a bit of time for me to prepare and cast the more deadly spells at my disposal or have the luxury of being invisible or getting outta trouble if it gets too hot. The bigger the target the more annoyed they seem to be of the bugs.

Some things to consider is your Mana, one just can't get enough with spellweaving hehe so beware. Having Protection ON also ensures you will get the punch or spell your casting through should the energetic opponent manage to get close and give you a hit.

It's 120 SW for me or none at all. Simply no room for compromise at lower skill levels for best results. Now with Arcane Focus things do improve although one hardly notices the improvements. But I am sure your target will!

The difference between say 120 sw and 60 is astronomical!!!

Mainly in duration of the most important of spells (attunement, gift of life gift of renewal and etheral voyage!) from 60 to 120 the duration goes from about 1minute to ibeluieve (0focus 5mins) add on top a 6 and you are talking auto res's for almost 10mins!!! healing (i think)20points every2secs for 5mins and absorbing 75points of damage for 5mins!!!

the low level spells have no significant change from 60-gm(natures fury and pixies) they have the same skills when cast and last about the same duration, to increase there duration is mainly just down to your level of arcane focus.

Add into that pretty much 100% casting of WOD (although you still need a high focus for max efficiency) and 120sw is a great accompanying skill for both PvP and PvM alike!
