For those who requested how I do the news
This is how I normally do things for news reports on EM events.
Not everyone does it this way.
EM Events
Attend the Hall of Commons each week or read the HoC
report for EM event days and time.
Always have an open text document.
(Jot down notes as you go. Write what the EM
or EM character is saying)
Use MWSnap3 or print screen and paste into Paint.
(Take 1-70 screenshots if you need to. I actually do about
50 per news story of my journal and shots I think are just
great. I try to get shots that could make it into the picture
of the week and shots where the reader will say "Thats me!
Thats me! I'm in the news!" So aim for something hehe)
Have show names of approaching players/monsters turned on.
(This will alert you when a EM character pops up)
Always have your journal open on the right side of your screen
stretched as far as it will go.
Follow the EM character and actually pay attention to what he/she
says EM Dudley is famous for tieing older RP events to the current one.
So make sure you read all the news reports. Sometimes you can
figure out what could happen next and sometimes Dudley will just
blind side you with what he does next.
Take the time to learn the EMs play style. How does EM Vladimere
and EM Dudley roleplay? What are their favorite things to do?
Play times... Vladimere doesn't play weekends so that leaves Dudley.
During the week Vladimere pops on most of the days. I peg Dudley
around Tue, Wed, Thur. So keep an eye on what they are focusing
on and where they show up the most. Dudley can normally go from
6pm - 1am. Vladimere normally hits up the afternoon - 11pm time frame.
EM Characters Read their information in the directory. Remember what
the character looks like and basic information on them. If an attack is
happening in Moonglow you can bet Balandar will be apart of it. If its
a crime or invasion Sheffield or Drake Foxx will be apart of it.
Contact list Your contact list is your most resourceful tool. I suggest
having every single Township leader on your icq list. They will most of
the time alert you to an EM showing up or some township attack. They
are also very helpful with information you may have missed. And if you
feel you missed something really important then bug the EM. If you don't
have a picture for the story ask your Icq list contacts. Sometimes the EM
might take a screen shot so email them as well. My Icq go to people for
informing me are

Check the EM forums. Refresh the EM forum. I do it every 15mins but
you don't have to be a crazy person like me. Sometimes if you see
the EM post they just might show up in game. Perfect example would
be....
EM Dudley posted a dream story Drake Foxx was having after
Balandar died (It was late and I figured no way was he ingame) I
checked anyways and found Commander Drake Foxx sitting at Balandar's
table drinking ale. I icqed people up, they came and started to RP.

It seems like ALLOT to do I know.... it really isn't. I just made it apart of
my regular game play. Id say the biggest thing is to expand your icq
contact list with as many people as possible.
