Is mY Charecter Buggy? Can a GM give me a tune up? What Am I doing wrong?

Hello All,

Maybe someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong here or if my Character is indeed buggy.

I am putting a suit together for her and I cannot seem to get the Physical Resist up on her. I have gotten to the point where I count up the Physical percentage on each armor and item piece and all together it adds up to 69% however on my stats paper it shows as only 44 so what am I doing wrong? As far as I can see I have no spells on her at all. Reactive armor is off, no curse or anything that I can see.....

MY account is almost 10 years old and this Charecter is one of my oldest Charecter's and in the past I have had to call a GM to get her fixed because she was buggy but I don't know, maybe I'm missing something.

What do I do? Help!

you may have one or both on try casting reactive armor get nekid and see what resist is it may be in the negatives when nekid

The protection spell and the magic reflect spell both lower physical resist.

you may have to cast them to remove them.

If you cast them a long time ago they wont show up on your buff bar.

I agree, don't change it. i don't want to have to recast those spells every day.

What about the people who are in an area when someone casts Arch Protection. They don't have magery to cast protection to get it off. They'd have to buy a spell scroll or get someone else to cast protection on them to take it off.

And it wasn't their fault that someone cast it while they were in range, especially if they didn't know that was going to happen.

I wouldn't mind having to click an icon at every log in.

I keep myself blessed nearly the entire time im online anyways.

It would stop people who don't have inscription from using soulstones to get the benefits of casting magic reflect and reactive armor and then stoning off inscribe. Or atleast make it more of a hassle for them to keep it up.

Protection is a second level scroll - it can be cast off scroll even by Elves with 0 magery.

I think there should be ONE answer for this issue.

Simply put:

If your resists are off, and you don't know why, equip a "WARD REMOVAL" token and use on yourself. This will clear all these spells. Granted, if you had magic reflect &amp; reactive armor cast as a combo on you, you'll have to recast them (stoning over Inscription to the character if necessary for the max benefit), but it would solve 95% of these questions. The other 5% are people who don't know about the resists from Magic Resist skill (real skill, or the smidgin of resists a human gets from the 20 points of Resist from JOAT).

BTW, Cassie, I miss your old avatar... Did you realize how bad it looked resized, and not have the original anymore? Or was it too distracting for the Pirates you moderate who wanted to go down, all hands on board???

You don't need a ward removal talisman. You can check to see what spells/buffs/debuffs are on you by simply bringing up your paperdoll and clicking on your status bar. Double click the status gump that comes up. Click on the blue button in the upper left corner of your status icon. It will tell you all you need to know and you can even leave it up on the screen, if you want.

Uh, NO.

Those don't always appear on the bar.

For example, 5 of my characters have had the combination of Magic Reflect and Reactive Armor cast on them for 3 years, and the icons are NOT on the characters. Furthermore, at least one character made AFTER the buff/debuff icon thing was added, that has the combination, is not showing the icons.

And, I STILL have not seen the icon for Curse on any of my characters, when they are targeted by it.
