Is it possible to make one large stone table with goza mat's?

My goal was to be able to combine a large (south) stone table with a medium (south) table without there being that gap.

Oh yeah. Very possible. Granted, it was a lot less fuss when the stone tables were new... they didnt re-deed. You just chopped off what you didn't want. You just had to plan out the effort well, because you would end up needing to start all over again, from scratch... with all new deeds.

In a way, the "gaza trick" does the same thing the old way did... making the tables un-re-deedable. Again, its all about the planing. You will see many cases were people just keep 1 table-less section to act as a counter with storage under. I still suggest, as the old days... you work with normal colored stone to save on loosing more valuable colors.
