Is it me or is stonecrafting broken?

I tried to make agapite tables (large, facing east). I wasted 27 pieces of agapite stone before I realized the deeds were the plain granite color. So I then switched to shadow iron & crafted a chair. It was also a granite colored chair. wth? Is anyone else having issues with stone crafting?

Its working for me, make sure you havent clicked the do not use material colour option, if you have then everything you make will be normal colour.

Make sure you switch the type of ore to use on tool before you make them.
