Is it intended that stronger versions of monsters appear in doom?

Sometimes in doom I fight stronger versions of Rotting Corpse, Devourer of Souls, Vampire Bat, etc.. They got like 5 times the hp. Is this intended and if so, do you get more reward points for them?
The same happens with the guard captains in the Blackthorn Dungeon btw.

I noticed that too. I got a crazy clean bracelet off one of the tuffer Rotting Corpse tho. Its perfect for my chiv warrior.

I got a few 1fc/3fc rings and bracelets yesterday in doom.

Aha, I noticed this too. Doing the Gauntlet yesterday, some of the undead summoned by the Dark Fathers appeared to be much tougher that normal.

deffo some of the regular monsters are at least 5x.. i had a right battle with a rotting corpse ..lol.. something id see off pretty sharp on the sampire

Yup, it's the same as the non-tameable stuff in Blackthorn. Reduced resistances, higher HP, similar skills (as far as I know)
