Is EA US site going to sell pigment dye soon?

EA Japanese site has been selling those Tokuno pigment dyes for a while. I wonder when US site will begin to sell them. I am low on some colors. Each time I burn a runic kit to make new leather armors, I need to use some pigment dyes. I just want to keep each piece of the suits have the same color.

But if it is profitable, I think US site will follow suit. Many US shards have run out of the popular color. I think EA will make lots of money to charge $20 for 150 charges of Tonuko pigment dyes.

I'm surprised people don't xfer over to grab all the dyes and then come back. Or can you not xfer between Amerikajin and Niponjin shards?

Well you could just learn to read Japanese and buy them from the UO Japan site, right? (I don't know if you can do this, but if you can, someone send me step by step instructions...
I need some more pigments hehe)

Im seriously pissed off about all this. I worked my frigging arse off getting tok dyes. I have about 5 complete sets of each color. Its my 'nest egg' so to speak. Now your telling me they will soon be worthless?

Yeah, I'm seriously pissed off that I missed the majority of the first ToT I event and couldn't get more than one bottle of pigments, and then the second one rolled around and I had plenty of time to play UO, but they didn't have the good colors. And that now the only way I can buy them is to spend mils in Luna. Either way, somebody gets pissed off. This is why the devs don't do much because if they make somebody happy they make somebody else mad, I guess...

Stuff that's tied to a fixed real-dollar amount tends to hold it's value better than average, in my experience.

When ToT2 came around, it would not have bothered me even in the slightest if they still had the dyes again. What bothers me is whats happening now.

Personaly i feel the best solution would be to make the bottles rechargable! Then the cost of 'uses' would go down, but the cost of the bottle itself would stay high as we would supposedly know that they wouldnt be recreated.

I worked my fingers to the bone the first time around too making sure I had at least 2 of each color ...... I'm more pissed that Japan gets to be able to buy these things and once again the american shards are SOL...... really irritating that they get to have special moderators that "beautify" their shards, as well as special bonus things like the ToT dye's and all....... it's still my belief that the Champ over there in Tokuno SHOULD give out mini arties ...... and you SHOULD be able to get any/all the dye colors as a reward for turning them in...... they could even double the rewards needed if they wanted to for the OLD set of colors but I'm with the rest of you....... some of my colors are getting seriously low and I'm concerned about running out..... As well as the fact that the "newer" set of colors were BAD..... hated them for the most part and their charges were FAR too low..... seemed nuts... anyway I don't care about worth..... what I care about is accessabilty that is more universal.... kinda really starting to irritate me that UO Japan gets "special" treatment when UO America is where it all began and we get squat. Not that I have anything against the Japan folk but seems HIGHLY unfair if you ask me.

Of course had they not removed the original colors in the first place there wouldn't be an issue. They should have left them and added the ToT2 colors to gee, I don't know, a METAL DYE TUB. That would have made sense though.

Hooded shrouds were 7-8 million on my shard before they became available via the purchasable token... They are now around the 3-3.5 million mark... I reckon tokuno dyes would go the same way...

Well good, then you wouldn't have to be rich to buy 2 or 3 bottles of pigments.

Nothing in game has "worth". It's a game, and nothing is really owned by you. Your just renting.

Posts like that show the greedy nature of players today. Pissed off about them bringing back Tokuno dyes? Really? Why? I think I know why.

They should be brought back as a gold sink or as content, and nobody should get pissed off about that. It's content that everyone can enjoy, and get a chance to get something they want. Not something that players can hoard one time and feel elite for having doing so.

I got a couple bottles of the rum red and the shadow black, as they were the ONLY colors I liked. I can't fathom why anyone should get pissed off about it if they bring them back. I certainly don't feel special for having them, nor should you if your intentions are in the right place.

Yeah, come to think of it, I wouldn't mind if they got cheaper. Or at least less hideously expensive.

Japan EA while still the same company is run by a different team of people than America/Europe EA. In addition the reason we don't get Events and Seer added sites any longer is b/c American players ruined it by complaining about certain aspects of the program and how they worked with US law.

Whether or not an in game item "worth" something or not is determined by players. If someone pays rl money to buy them, then the items worth something to the buyer.

The whole arguement is meaningless without knowing how much EA will sell the pigments in U.S. If EA sells them for $9.99 a bottle, hardly anyone will conplain about the devaluation. If the price is $2.99 a bottle, things will be quite different.

TOT1 pigments are desirable items. Shall we just recreate/mass produce all the desirable items (doom arties, high end runic hammers, etc. and now TOT1 pigments) to satisfy the players, or shall we keep some special items still left in UO? It is just a game, but you can interpret that in both ways.

[/ QUOTE ]Actually, we got shafted out of the various volunteer programs because a particular Senior or Shard Lead Counselor (don't remember which she was) got passed over for a promotion, and had heard about the AOL volunteer lawsuit, and decided that she'd follow suit. She claimed to be defending someone else who she felt was slighted by the program, but those of us in the know are aware of the true circumstances.

And yes, basically, it took the work of TWO people to bring down the entire volunteer program.

I just talked to the folks at UO Stock and they went and got a bunch of these on hand, I linked them to this thread and within a few hours they went and got us some!

They arn't free, but the conversion seems pretty close to what EA Japan was charging.

Thanks UOStock, if you guys are reading this!

*holds hand up too* Yeah, if anyone does know if we can get them from non-=Japan shards, and knows which buttons are the ones for the tokens, I'd love step by step instructions too! =P
I didn't play the game when ToT1 happened, so dont have any of those dyes, would truly love a couple of them though! =D

I think UO Stock's prices on them are like 1$ higher, then the purchase price, and they allow you to use PayPal too, as a payment also.

It's just a more sound option then purchasing from a foreign language website, ya know :p

Btw, get a Verite Green colored dye, it's the best

No, they have not.

"Whoever bought more than 2,500Yen(=about $25) on UO store during the period from March 14 to 28, can get pigments of Tokuno."
