106-107 magery is never fail circle 7 spells. Gate travels, flamestrikes, mass dispels etc. So going to 110 magery is essential to my characters. You also get the better % to cast res, evs etc. Also healing is based on magery skill, so you heal more damage the higher your magery.
So yes going higher on magery is always a good thing, especially if you use your greater heal often during peerless or what not.
Eval Int is your damage for magery. Do you cast offensive magic often? Eval will make your flamestrikes, fireballs, e bolts etc hit harder. If you find that you usually sit back and heal the pet then you really don't need eval.
Mindblast, and poison are the only attacks based on magery, so without eval you are severly limited to spells you can cast for offense.
Also the 90 vet someone mentioned should work fine, the thing with me personally is I do not sit back and watch my pet attack hardly ever. I cast along with my pets and drop monsters quickly. So to me 90 vet is really just to res a pet or to get a quick heal in on it. For your more traditional tamer you would want higher vet so you can keep up with the damage your pet takes.
So try to figure out how you like to play best, or what you do frequently and take it from there. I don't think you can just say this is a tamer template this is how you run it. It's a template that depends on play style and how capable you are at running it.
I enjoy necro mage tamer and spellweaving mage tamer the best, having learned I do not need vet often and I cast alongside my pets.
