invasions??

Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere, but I am having trouble finding information on the invasions. Could someone please direct me to a link or tell me how to avoid recalling into the middle of one? Looks like there should be some kind of warning sign. I was training my alchemy this morning and recalled into Britain mage shop and died instantly because there were 2 dragons inside the shop. D: Bye bye reagents and kegs D:

Go to a town crier in a town that doesn't get invaded, like New Haven and ask for news. Ask several times, to make sure you get all the news available. That's what I do.

To ask for news, just walk up to a crier and say, "news".

Seems to me they removed the inability to recall into an invasion area and also the thing where if you happened to log in to one unawares you got transported to a safe area. Which sucketh, as I am tired of getting defenceless characters killed because I happen to log into somewhere brimming with monsters =/ there has to be a good medium ground, surely ?

Jhelom and Nujelm are the places i always go to to be safe from Invasion. There i ask the towncryers several times the news where the invasion currently is. Also i have a Sherry the mouse statue from the spring cleaning in my house that also can tell me the news on invasion . So i won't run into any nasty suprises.
