Pets do miss. Their chance to hit an opponent has the same calculations as a players. Their Wrest vs their opponents Wrest/Wep skill determines their chance to hit. Pets also don't get HCI.

There were tower defense games LONG before the iPhone ever came out.

Hell, really O.G.R.E. is a tower defense game (started as a board game) and came out in 1977.

FYI I went to Covetous at 2:30 am local time. This was an hour and a half before server down and I went to fight the spawn solo. I think everyone else was off line. That's the only thing that sucks about playing very late.

Well, you could play GL and its just like solo'ing it when others are there.

The Talisman's and Cauldrons are actually a good idea. I could see myself going down to Covetous if I wanted to smelt Valorite Ingots.

The items are not very desirable not to mention the ephemeral tag on them.

The problem with the talismans is that they are on a timer (at least, I believe they are). If I were to ever get a talisman, I would make sure I had enough ore to justify it, before starting to smelt.

Even the crafting junk is mostly timered and thus can't really be sold, meaning no one who doesn't want to actually use one needs to be there.

Do these "timered" objects start decaying immediately or with usage? Would these items decay as quickly in a chest or on a vendor?

They were pretty much like the peerless keys in TC1, they disappeared from my backpack when I logged in a day later.
