Invasing humanoid loot (armours, etc)

I just found a spellbook off a mob, 1 spell and grey hue, and I wondered who else has managed to find one (or any "special" items). Also, a definitive list of colours would be nice, for the armours.

So far, I have found a lot of colours but I have only just started collecting them. Anyone who has any other hues to add, or loot stories, that aren't in my pic, share!

The Shadowlord Army drops weapons/spellbooks as rewards to the top attacker.

All ranks give at least one, and Captains and Generals give one to the top three.

The properties on the items scale upwards with difficulty of the mob, for
example:

Warrior
Types: dagger, kryss, short Spear, club, war mace, war hammer, bardiche, broadsword, scimitar, viking sword, katana, halberd

Recruit:

• DI: 1-10%
• SSI: 5-10%

Lieutenant:

• DI: 20-30%
• SSI: 25-30%
• Hit Lightning: 15-20%

Ranger
Types: crossbow, bow, heavy crossbow

Recruit:

• DI: 1-5%
• SSI: 5-10%
• Lower Defense: 2-6%

Lieutenant:

• DI: 20-30%
• SSI: 20-30%
• Lower Defense: 16-20%

Mage

There are generals? I thought Lieutenants were highest rank. I've gotten 3 spellbooks so far, 2 blues ones which are different hues and one brown one.

I soloed 3 captains today and only recieved an item on one of them.

I did recieve a pretty cute bow off the generals though. IMO I won't be messing with anything but the Generals because I can make better items from copper/bronze runic hammers cheaper (At a time vs money aspect) and with better/useful mods. :x

That's just my take on it. It would be cool if they just had a slim chance to drop things with a set amount of mods, and intensity range (Like runics) with it all random but on items BESIDES weapons and all that have already been flooded into the marked with duped runic tools. Jewelry for example would have been cool. The spell books are nice though.

I still assume the General items will be nice for imbument. My bow has 50ssi and if I can throw hit lightning on it I'll be happy

I haven't seen one General/Captain. Usually it gets up to Lieutenants then crimson spawns... is there a trick?

I've killed 100's of them from Recruits, to Corporals, Lieutenants, all I got was one Katana and a pretty lousy one at that.


Though I have picked up about 20 different sets of armor at least. Ring, chain, Plate, leather, studded leather in about 12 different colored varieties. Rough estimate.

Hehe ok good they drop stuff. I was awarded a kryss today... was all excited to see how special is was and it had 5 SSI and 7 DMi. Was like why did I get awarded this sh@@ty kryss? Did I insult someone?

There are actually two shades of the 'blue' in chain and plate. The difference is quite subtle, so it's hard to tell that they are in fact different.

Ok.....This is potentially going to sound whiny.

But I don't care at the moment; someone had to say it.

These rewards aren't all that substantial relative to effort. When I'd read that there would be weapons and spellbooks scaled to rank, I was excited and glad, because I thought it meant that there would be reasons to work the invasion other than RP. RP is simply not enough for most players to do the "right" thing. Magincia alone should have proved that to you.

Seeing these rewards is a little disheartening. Contrast these with the Faction rewards, and consider the fact that so far these are the only event-specific rewards.

Oh well.

Now, technically, you did say these were only samples. It may well be that, say, the Warrior-General reward is more "worth it."

I'm gonna keep working the invasion of course, either way.

We'll see.

But please keep in mind that most players won't fight on the good side just to do so anymore. And keep in mind the very substantial rewards given to Faction players recently, as part of the same event cycle.

Hmm, how did you all get the spellbooks and weapons, and were the weapons coloured or in any way different from regular loot?

I ask because I got the spellbook (I *think*) off a scout - the corpse merely disappeared and the spellbook was left on the ground with no properties other than "1 spell".

I had a crossbow pop in my pack from a Ranger Lieutenant yesterday. Looks exactly like a normal crossbow and has no unique name. A unique name would at least have been something cool on the substandard weapons. As things stand now, I doubt I'll even hang onto the bow since there's no way to discern that it came from the invasion other than the properties, which can be found on any looted bow if one hunts enough to find one with just those properties.

When smelted, you get normal iron ingots.
Haven't tried unraveling as SA hasn't been released yet.

I think theres some problems with it on Atlantic.

Currently:
Vesper - Red Hatred NPC's, no army, no invasion, no crimson dragon, no recall.
Moonglow - No recall but no invasion.
Trinsic - No recall but no invasion.
Everywhere else - No invasion.

On top of this there have been no generals that I've seen.
The army is pathetically weak.
Has anyone seen the platinum dragon that was mentioned, or did he miss the boat too?

I think you are off on the SDI % from the generals.
I've gotten one spellbook with 26% SDI and one with a nice 30% SDI !
Too bad the 26% has the nicer colour - but that's life...

The information he gave is, quite frankly, incorrect. But it is enough to give the general idea.

Generals (I'm pretty sure captain and lieutenant too, but can't confirm right now) give books from 26%-30% SDI.
Generals, captain and lieutenant healers all give MR 3 books.
Generals, captain and lieutenant mages all give FCR 2 books.

The scaling number according to rank is the LMC for the mages and the LRC for the healers.

The best two items I got was

1. Heavy Crossbow: DI 52%, SSI 45%, HLD 30%

and

2. Spellbook (colour: dark shadow): DCI 5%, SDI 28%, FCR 2, LMC 5%, 64 spells.


Both were drops on Generals and on Siege Perilous.

I tried to enhance a heavy crossbow that I got from a general. The message I received was: This item is already enhanced with the properties of a special material. So no enhancing. I do not know about imbueing. I have not been following the new stuff much yet but I m under the impression that enhanced stuff will not work with the new skill. This also raises question of what is the special material? It sure doesnt look special to me.

I've been taking my tamer to this, except the Moonglow one. Won't be doing that til her tank bonds next week - those ethereals are a pain in the butt to kill! We've had over 100 packdrops, including a dozen spellbooks, a couple with really nice mods. We check the criers, and head for the one that's up. We've also gotten some of the unusual gems that the crimson drops, though these seem to be fewer now? Mind you, hard to tell when some folks wander round with horde minions hoovering up the goodies!

I've seen generals at every single 'invasion' I've attended thus far. I've even managed to get a few to myself - only to not get a pack drop. I think the best drops I've had have been from LT's and Capts so far. It's often hard to tell what I'm fighting as I have to use ctrl+shift to get the bars and you don't get rank that way. We're having a ball with this, and even taking some of our less experienced players along, who are also having fun. They don't tend to get drops so much, but are filling up their bank boxes with dying horribly (insurance) gold

your saying the criers actaully tell you what town is being invaded???
on pac they sit here quiet

Some do, some don't. Until the New Haven crier vanished on Cats a couple days ago, he wouldn't give the correct information. Nor would the crier in Luna (now also MIA) by the gate. But the criers in most other cities would at least tell you where the possessed NPCs are. That doesn't mean there's an invasion in the city, but it will give you the most likely suspects.

Haven criers are saying Brit is beseiged, but, apart from some falsehoods, there's no spawn and no crimmie Haven't logged in yet to check this morning, but we found out at around 2pm yesterday (UK time) and when I went to bed at midnight, it still hadn't been sorted, despite a bug report, a thread here and a page to the gm's.

Under normal circumstances, saying news to the crier will provide a list of the towns being invaded.
