Hi Siege!
Well I have been on your shard for about 3 1/2 mths now, so feel it is time to formally say 'hello' to everyone. I am a 12+ yr vet but have played mostly on Oceania, some on Atlantic and now, in my old age have decided to come to Siege! I ran events on Oceania from around 2004 to 2010 then took a couple of yrs off, before returning at the end of 2011. Being from Australia I ping 261 on a good day and up to around 350 on others, today I am pinging 290 so sorry if ya thought I would be able to display my 'l33t' fighting skills but alas I am not a pvp'er!
I want to thank all those people who have made my transition here easy with the donation of items, scrolls and just outright assistance in how Siege runs. I will not mention anyone individually as I am sure to leave someone out but this assistance has come from ALL guilds in one form or another.
For something to do I intend to run a few events on here just for a bit of fun and hope you all participate. I come with no preconceived ideas of who is nice and who is not so hopefully I will find all to fit into the first category (NICE) *grins* .
In building my 'Siege Empire' I have a shop next to Umbra Hub, called 'Coco's' which some of you may know. Vendor search 'Coco' for a map. I also have my house in the area I have christened the 'Ice Cove' and an Event House next door in the same cove located far north of the Northern Crags in Malas. Hence the name 'Ice Cove Events'.
The main house will host a 'theatre' and 'trivia' room on the third floor, and the Event House next door will be built and rebuilt for customized events. When not in 'use' these houses are both Private. I can also 'build' for other guilds if they want to host a particular event that needs secure premises on a rental type basis for one off events, subject to me not using it for an ICY event. This includes RED guilds if you want a pvp event set up etc. I can build a customised arena or gladiator house etc. The theatre/trivia room can also be used by other guilds, just contact me. Right now the Event House is nearly ready for the first 'in house' event, which will launch for one month in December called "HELL HOUSE".
Most of my events will have cash prizes that I will be funding, but to do so some have a nominal entrance fee to help offset the cost. This will be advertised with any event run.
Now while I accept that Siege has some baggage I will attempt not to get involved in it and take everyone as I find them and treat them accordingly. Outside my premises I take my chances like all Siege players, however at my Events, there will be little to no tolerance for killing in my houses, I understand you all have your 'wars' etc but would really appreciate you leaving them at the door! I may be kidding myself to think this will happen but I guess one can only try! However one kill = permanent ban from the building/s so you can't say you're not warned.
I am not naive and It is certainly not a challenge but I kinda hope even the pure REDs will come and participate in some stuff. Seeing the amount of Forum wars, perhaps a team of REDs can prove their stunning intellect skills at the first Trivia night without feeling the need to actually pk in the house. For all events I ask people empty their packs and come naked under their modesty robes, as no point in providing spoils. All Events will have a teleport set up from Coco's directly into the premises so there is no need for even LRC suits. All my ladies can also gate you from a guard zone if needed. A Crystal portal will be provided for you to get back to the bank to pick up your 'stuff' following events.
As an opening 'event' that is simple and safe, I shall be running SPLOTTO (Siege Perilous Lotto) from now until the 30 November and then monthly from there on. All are welcome to participate so read the next forum post!
