Internet Router Down - Problems Connecting to East Coast Shards

Apparently there is a major east coast router down in the northeast. I am getting 100% packet loss to the Atlantic shard but other people are able to connect just fine. I can't even connect to Google. Here is my trace route:



Since I am unable to connect to a variety of websites (excluding this one) it is highly unlikely it is EA's fault. What a coincidence it was tonight of all nights =[

I'll just have to catch the event on the West Coast shards which i have no problem connecting to.

ISP only handles the first couple hops, the rest are out of their hands. This will probably be fixed very soon depending on how many people it is affecting. But who knows if it will clear up within the next hour and 7 minutes.

The good news JC is there is a valid path around the problem router since I can reach your 3-4 listed hops from Carolina though I can't hit those DC hops. Maybe they will alter the routing tables closer upstream to you.

Try again JC...the route for the faulty node was changed - which for me was 1 hop past the last in your trace. I am getting no packet loss on the new route now at least from where I am in the southeast to Siege or Atlantic, and I was before the route changed.

Every east coast shard is giving me 100% packet loss. My ping has increased by ~100 to west coast shards and Stratics forums are going very slow (but since no topic complaining about it, I assume it is only for users affected by this routing issue). I can't connect to ICQ but can login to our guild Voice Chat and UOAM server.

I'll just catch the event on Pacific shard I guess.

Nope, still down. They are probably working on the issue right now. Maybe they will get it fixed in time. I hear there is a huge crowd on Atlantic.

It seems the issue has been resolved as a few minutes ago. The good news is it does not sound like I missed out on anything tonight.
